If he was to put up a sign like that tomorrow, i'd still go to him. I don't have to have the same political beliefs as him, just like I don't have to have the same religious beliefs as my doctor(s).
Your Dr. has signs up, but how do those signs read? Are they telling you to seek medical care somewhere else just because you supported Obama? What he posted on that door is clearly ignorant and stupid. I don't want to be seen by any Dr. where I have to question his character. All of that education and he's still an idiot.

During my clinical rotations, as a matter of fact, I do.

This Dr. may not literally be turning patients away, but his sign probably creates such an uncomfortable feeling for many patients that they no longer wish to go there. So in essence I think he IS turning away patients. And I suspect there IS some ethics violation in this. However, because he is a Republican, and more than likely has made a considerable amount of money over the years as a doctor, nothing is going to be done about it.

I would NOT want a doctor like this treating me. Things like this make me feel that there are probably more hidden issues and prejudices and biases in this person's heart and they probably are not going provide the best care to EVERYONE. I was seeing a nephrologist for a few months. The first day he walked in the room I felt extremely uncomfortable. it was to the point that with each visit I realized that I would not be surprised if he walked in the treatment room one day in KKK robes. THAT is just the vibe he gave off. Now this man is supposed to be a premier nephrologist, but I just did not feel comfortable seeing him, nor did I feel he was going to provide the best care for me. I left and found another doctor I am MUCH more comfortable with.

Being comfortable with your doctor is key. When he/she creates an environment that removes that feeling of comfort and you feel compelled to leave, then essentially they have turned you away.

SRSLY????? Are you saying the Democrat doctors are treating their patients for free? I hope you're kidding.

I've had friends rec doctors they loved who I hated, and vice versa. That's not a news flash, and nothing to do with politics.

What are you smoking, and can I have some of it when reality is too hard to bear? Liberal physicians and dentists aren't crying poor either.

That's not what I'm saying and I can't even remotely fathom where you got that from.

You can always use the ignore button. And you should try that instead of always taking the time to make comments such as that stated above. Honestly it is comments like THAT which make the thread go downhill.

No, YOU have the problem. YOU need to read ignore if you don't like my posts.

What is so incredibly stupid is the fact that you and others ignore an ENTIRE post only to zero in on ONE statement. You're just LOOKING for drama. Grow up.

To reiterate my point from that post: if a doctor makes patients feel uncomfortable to the point that they feel they should leave, that doctor IS turning patients away.

And it doesn't matter whether he is a specialist or not. He shouldn't create that environment for patients. He has a duty to treat all patients regardless of race, gender, politics, etc.

But he truly doesn't deserve the press he is so desperately courting. That just adds fuel to his fire.
