Hi all, hope you don't mind in me dropping in but have I got a tale for you!
Here goes,
Way before I joined my org. I attended various programs put on by the chapter at my school. I met this one girl there, we'll call her "Crazy" <<forshadowing>> and we really hit it off. Next thing you knew I we were attending all the events together and even "quizzing" each other on information (in case we were asked a question by one of the members-- I know you all remember those days ) So anyway, this girl and I decided to move in together on campus the following spring because my roommate was moving out.
That spring the org. had a line- I was on it and she wasn't. "Drama in the House of HoneyBee"- Right? Wrong. She seemed not to be phased in the least bit, and went on and on about how "When her time is right..." I thought all was well until one of the members came over to my room to visit. She was there for a little while then we decided to go get something to eat; I asked her to grab my jacket out of my closet, and you won't believe what happened!
She went to "Crazy's" closet by mistake, and what was in it but a SHRINE to Sigma Gamma Rho!! This girl had every piece of 'nalia ever created in this closet! She even had a crossing jacket- with her name on it and a Captain's wheel. So not only was she sick, she obciously had delusions of grandeur. She created this whole senario in her crazy head and made herself captain. Apparently, she had been perping for over a year, and she got all the stuff from friends and family in her hometown when she went home over a school break.
The moral of the story? Even seemingly "sane" people can perp- so be aware.
