Congrats to the AKAs for becoming co-first place winners of the Sprite Step Off.

So may I present a different opinion? I feel the young ladies of Zeta Tau whatever did a fantastic job. I also feel as though they have the right to participate. As far as I know, it is listed as the Sprite Step Off. Not the Sprite NPHC Step Off.

Also, who's to say that the members of predominately white teams/organizations did not make the same argument about "us" when we broke into their respective groups (i.e. golf, basketball, country music, Indiana University)? What this means to me, is that other groups have taken note to what we have done, and they are compelled to not only learn, but perfect the craft. "Imitation is the highest form of flattery".Guarantee next year's shows will be MUCH better from all organizations involved.

If you want to present a different opinion begin on a respectful note. It is Zeta Tau Alpha.

I have heard this silly analogy quite a bit and it takes me back to the old "whites in BGLOs" discussions. If people think it's all par for the course then they have no understanding of the course.

First, said nothing to disrespect them.

And to the other individuals, perhaps YOU do not believe that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but speak for yourselves. Remember, these are people's opinions. All I am saying is that those girls did their thing. And from here on out, I bet D9 orgs won't have the same 'ol shows that you see everywhere. That.is.all

First, "Imitation is NOT the sincerest form of flattery." I wish people would stop with that lie. I guess it makes folks feel better about being copied and used. Second, this analogy is becoming overused and quite frankly isn't a good one. And last, they do not perfect what we do and if you know history, you know that they take, use, and then take credit for. Don't let me get into examples. I shouldn't have to.

I'm going to wish on a star tonight that everyone gets this message! Imitation is not flattery it is (excuse my french) F**kery and Foolishness. It could only be flattering if I placed no value on that which you have attempted to steal from me.

His posts in all of these threads have been ignored partly because his membership in the D9 is still laughable.

Which happen to be D9 members. Don't back pedal now, your reputation precedes you.

Not all the NPHC members are/were sore losers. A very significant number of them respected the ZTA victory. They may not have agreed with it, but they essentially said, "It is what it is". They ain't pissin' and moanin' about it either.

OTOH, if the sore losers happened to be NPHC members, so be it. Oh well, gee that's too bad.

Hence the difference: All the sore losers may have been NPHC members, but not all NPHC members were sore losers. Like I said, let's not get it twisted.

Two things really hurt this event: Poor sportsmanship, and Sprite's backpedaling.
