In the year and a half that we've had our cat, she has thrown up twice due to hairballs. Both times, my husband went to clean it up (once was on a wood floor, once on a rug) and as soon as he knelt down to do it, he ran to the bathroom and vomited himself. I cleaned it up both times, and it was no big deal. Didn't really smell, just looked weird. Took me all of 2 minutes to clean and disinfect both times. So now I wonder how he's ever going to deal if we have children...........
