Jobs

As long at the bills are paid, you're not both living pay check to pay check and have a contingency plan in place for having kids you should be good to go. It shouldn't matter who is making more money. In most marriages, couples want to have a family. Typically, the mom takes some time off on maternity leave. In some jobs, maternity leave does not always guarantee the same pay check. Some companies, like Bank of America, do offer Paternity leave so that dads can spend time away. Regardless of who spends some time away from work the reality is that you may be in for some restricted cash flows. Plan in advance. Don't live beyond your means. If you live below or at your means you will be able to save money throughout the year. When parenthood comes make sure you have some type of strategy ahead of time. Do that and you will be comfortable.

Fraternally,
