We had the same rule (normal social contact and strict silence between Pref and Bid Night).

Right so did we, but I didn't know there was an exemption for biological sisters.

I absolutely love the shirts - I wonder how many other chapters around the PNC GC world will have them next year? Just remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

I also love the picture of the two of you, and her key. Question to all Kappas - have you ever noticed that pretty much all Key jewelry has a backwards Key?

What do you mean "backwards"? Like it's facing the wrong way if you turn it horizontal?

Yep, exactly. Honeychile, I see backwards keys all over the place and it drives me nuts. But I know some Kappas who either never notice or don't mind.

I'm almost positive one of the groups at North Texas had "Go" and "Went" shirts this year or last. I know I've seen them- Chi O or Pi Phi, maybe.

The TCU and Univ of Texas Kappas were doing those shirts back in the early 90s when I was an active. There has been a lot of imitation and flattery as far as those go!

I don't know if it's done on a Panhel-by-Panhel basis, but that's what they decided for us and the other sisters with (bio) sisters going through recruitment. It could be different elsewhere.

Not its not nice, but I have seen it done. Either way, a greater plan is at work!
That definitely makes sense. We'll probably never know if it affected her cuts, but she was happy with her schedule, so no worries!

I'm pretty sure the design was suggested to us by our headquarters/advisers/LC as a bid day shirt design Kappa wants to push nationally. I've seen it elsewhere and I love it, so I was excited when our New Member chair decided to use it!

I suprised to read that they were allowed to wear the GO KAPPA shirts before recruitment started. That was BIG no-no for all the sororities on campus. They said something about it pushing girls to go one way or another (I personally do not think a shirt is going to push a PNM one way or another but that's just me!). Either way I'm pushing hard for those to be our bid day shirts!

On our campus we're not allowed to have any recruitment-type events or advertisements (like banners, fliers, etc.) from January 1st until Bid Day (usually February 4th), but sisters can wear whatever they like. All the sororities really encourage their sisters to wear as much lettered gear as possible! I'm in agreement with you - I don't think it pushes PNMs one way or the other. It may even be a good thing in that it gets them pumped for recruitment to see such a big show of Greek spirit on campus! Anyway, I'm glad you like them!
