Craziness!!! I JUST finished watching it, and I have so many questions! I wonder if Locke was dead all along and Jacob took over his body a long time ago.

Btw, I say go ahead and post about the most recent episode in here. I avoided this thread until today cause I hadn't seen the premiere yet.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'm just confused about this whole "two places at once" thing. What's really screwing me up is that Desmond is on the plane, as was Charlie. I thought at first that maybe it was all someone's dream, but then Juliet said, "It worked," and now I'm more confused as ever.

And again.. my memory is horrible. Even if I want to create a theory of what happened, half the time I can't. Or I try, but realize later that it wouldn't work out after someone points out something obvious to me.

Originally, I wasn't going to watch the re-cap beforehand, but I'm so glad that I did. I think I said, "Oh yea," about 10 times while watching it!

Okay this whole Sayid thing. Two theories:

1) Jacob was implying that Sayid can't die because somehow Jacob's Nemesis would change into his body. And then everyone would be super confused.
2) Lennon lied about what was on the note. Sayid HAD to die so that Jacob could go into his body.

At this point, nothing would surprise me. And so far, I prefer them to crash instead of this new alternate world. Things are so yucky when they land (Sun, I'm looking at you).

Black Rock didn't occur to me. You've got my wheels turnin' ...

I dont think that is possible since Locke has seen the monster face to face..good theory though!!!!!

Was it before Ben shot Locke? I was thinking that maybe Jacob took over Locke's body then.

It took me a very long while to understand what exactly you were saying here. If this were true though...how could "Mr. Black"/Smoke Monster inhabit him (Locke's body) now?

Remember, though, that Lennon didn't know that Jacob was dead; none of the temple dwellers did. When Hurley and the rest of them first arrived, Hurley simply said that Jacob had sent them there. It wasn't until after Sayid died that Lennon and the leader guy pulled Hurley aside to talk to him, and he nonchalantly said that Jacob was dead. I'm still waiting for there to be some significance to the airline losing the coffin. I know that on the second flight to get back to the island, Jack put Locke's body in the coffin to "take the place of" his dad, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm also wondering if that's somehow significant to there essentially being three John Lockes (the one on the plane, the one dead on the beach, and the smoke monster)...

And I'm still wondering what Locke/smoke monster meant when he said, "I want to go home."

I have no idea, but seriously, it's a smoke monster! Don't you think he could do whatever he wanted? Haha I have no clue.

Me too. I also immediately thought of Schrodinger's cat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schrodingers_cat) with the two simultaneous plot outcomes.
