So you are saying that it is possible for houses to extend bids to sophmores ? Does it happenoften or is it rare? I just know at some of the SEC schools I wouldn't have a snowballs chance in he'll lol

Sophomore bids are common, but obviously not as common as bids being extended to freshman and it also depends on the chapter. It is harder for some sophomores to get in to some chapters but not others.
All of the sororities are great at UK really. Maybe one is struggling just a tad, but not anything major. Sorority life at UK is pretty strong. They added a new chapter to campus this past fall and are adding another chapter in a couple of years which means overall the system is strong and healthy. All of the philanthropies of the chapters are highly respected and noteworthy. Some of the events may be more popular than others but they are great philanthropies none the less.
I assume you are transferring in from a community college in Kentucky?
