That's it. Technically, it stands for the area within a 30-mile radius of the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard. It's also called the Studio Zone. It's purpose is for setting union rates in the entertainment industry -- rates for work done inside the Zone are typically lower than those for work done outside the Zone.
