Even though my GPA is great and have done quite a bit of community service, I still feel like rushing would be totally pointless for someone like me. With those two things against me, should I even bother with trying to join?
Well, I mean, if your campus quota is only one black NPCer at a time, then yes, I think you're wasting your time.

And if you feel like you have nothing special to offer, then the least of your worries is whether or not you'll get a bid.
