The best part of his claim is that there is an Alpha Sig chapter at PSU.

And I'm sure he would have had his ass handed to him if he wore his high school letters around Penn State.

Yes, but he is saying that he was in "Alpha Sig" while in high school, not college. I highly doubt he attended Penn State. Have you seen his grammatical errors throughout this thread? I am certain he dropped out of high school. If he didnt, and he did actually attend college, I highly doubt it was Penn State. We don't let just anyone in.
If he is a college graduate, my biggest complaint is that they need to tighten admissions standards. I feel like everyone and their mother can get a college degree, in this day and age. People like this guy lessen the value of an actual college degree (provided he actually has one).

Oh my point is what pshsx1 pointed out. I'm sure he didn't go to college at all, and you are right he probably dropped out of high school.

Only after her announcement that she attended. But, my confusion was who is "we." Is she in a leadership role in the undergraduate admissions office?

No. I do not work in the undergraduate admissions office. When I said "we" I meant as a community. I mean that Penn State does not allow people like this guy into our school. Considering I graduated from there three different times, I consider it to be a big part of who I am. Because I spent so much time (and money) there, I said "we" to mean my school, my fellow Penn Staters and me.

Commendable. It's unusual that a university's admissions policy would be directly influenced by current students and alumni.

That's one thing I hate about my school... they let everyone and their mother in just for statistics and money, but only about a 4th of every freshman class actually graduates from here and a smaller percentage than that actually stick with their major(s) the whole way through. One of my roommates my Freshman year was one of the DUMBEST individuals I've ever met in my life AND he had a criminal record! He started in the bottom level of every core class here. If you apply to college not knowing how to form one proper sentence, no school of any prestige should let you in.
The degree I'll be getting from my school is beyond excellent, but the fact that they let in people with a 3rd grade education irks me.
