Fraternity Sues Major University - Thoughts?

I honestly hope they do go through a lawsuit. Rape is horrible, but false allegations of rape is extremely detrimental, and usually without much or any accountability. My organization has never had any formal charges around the allegation of rape, but rumors have surfaced many times before, and it sickens me.

Update:

The Zeta Psi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi and UCF have settled the case out of court. Beta will be allowed back on campus on the first day of the summer semester 2010, rather than the first day of summer 2011.

There are a number of reasons for this and this seems like the best case scenario for everyone. The case would not even have been done until sometime at the end of fall 2010 and even then had Beta won, the court could still rule something like a re-hearing of the Student Conduct case at the UCF level.

The Zeta Psi chapter is definitely happy to have something final to look forward to at the end of the spring. I think it'll be back and stronger than ever!
