Eh...been there and it's essentially the same type of chain stuff to me. I'll admit that I've been spoiled when it comes to Italian food, in that I grew up in a big Italian family (my Naunie is an excellent cook), I had family that owned an Italian deli growing up, and I got to live in Boston (where the Italian section is pretty solid). So I'm really picky when it comes to the chain places.

One thing this thread has shown me - I should be very happy that my wife and friends are so (comparatively) open-minded about food.
