If it makes you feel any better, as far as I know (and you "Recruitment Professionals" - feel free to correct me) the general membership does not SEE their sorority's bid list. So with the exception of the Recruitment Chair, most of the girls in your first choice chapter will assume you CHOSE your 2nd choice.
It is my understanding that this varies from organization to organization and even chapter to chapter.
