I want to know how he expected Beyonce to react!

Like, what did you think Beyonce was going to do when you interrupted Taylor to say how great her video was? Stand up and clap? lol.

Taylor is definitely more pop than country. I love country and she's okay but honestly I'd much prefer more of a true country, not stuff that gets played on kiss fm.

Beyonce was truly a class act though, polar opposite of Kanye.

Taylor is country, just a different kind. I mean, she is nominated for Entertainer of the Year (and three other awards) at the CMAs along with Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and George Strait. If they're not country, I don't know who is.

I LOVE Taylor Swift. I have been a huge fan for a long time not only because of her music, but because I like her as a person. She seems to be truly appreciative of what has happened to her, without letting it go to her head. There is a video going around of her with her mom and friend watching the CMA nominations, and the raw emotion she expresses makes it clear how thankful she is.

It was nice to see that Beyonce allowed Taylor to give her acceptance speech during her win for Video of the Year. Truly classy and gracious.

Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, Waylon Jennings, David Allan Coe, Willie Nelson

Kenny Chesney is pop. Brad Paisley is pop. George Strait is questionable.

But this is neither here nor there about this thread. Kanye is a douchenozzle.

Hello, welcome to this millenium.

There is no doubt that Haggard, Cash, Nelson, etc. were country in their own time, but that time has come and gone. Country music has evolved, obviously, and KC, Brad Paisley, and yes, Taylor Swift are examples of what country music is today.

Actually, they're examples of what Nashville country today is. That is, pop music.

Here's a whole list of country music today:
Old Crow Medicine Show, Cory Morrow, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers Band, Aaron Watson, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Jason Isbell, Drive By Truckers, Robert Earl Keen, Ryan Bingham, Sons of Bill, Adam Hood, The Bottle Rockets, Bleu Edmondson, etc etc.

There's ton of "real" country music out there. Where times have not changed so much and boy bands like Rascal Flatts aren't there.

Bump because George Jones is effing awesome.

In an unrelated incident, Taylor's eyes are starting to freak me out (first on the SNL ad and now in the above picture).

If evolved means "turned into absolute unlistenable shit" well then yes, it certainly has evolved.

EW, you need to come up to Clarion for homecoming because the one bar plays exactly all that stuff you dig, all day. It's awesome.

Thank you for your bitchy remark. It truly contributed to this thread.
