The inherent desire of those in power is to constantly reproduce the conditions that keep them in power and mirror back to them their notions of their own status and power,
Bingo! We have a winner!

You know that scene in Blazing Saddles where Governor Le Petomane says to his cabinet: Holy underware! Sheriff murdered! Innocent women and children blown to bits! We've got to protect our phony baloney jobs, gentlemen. We must do something about this, immediately, immediately, immediately!

This is what our government is all about - keeping their phoney baloney jobs.

And this is what this (latest) political dust up is about:

Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph!

I didn't get a 'harrumph' out of that guy!

Give the governor a 'harrumph!'

Harrumph!

Governor: You watch your ass.

See, I don't know if the jobs are phoney baloney. Maybe they are doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing. Maybe it is our perception of their obligations that remains skewed. You know, because most of us believe that a democarcy should serve all of the people. And, of course, McKittrick was talking about systems of power outside of governmental bodies as well.

The Governor of SC was watching someone else's @ss, that's why he is in trouble now. **end of slight hijack**

I TOTALLY agree about Obama's hair cut.

I love that photo. Not only because the President is gorgeous (drool), but also because you can tell Joe Biden is trying to restrain that little piece of "hood" inside of him that wants to come out. lmao LOVE it.

lmao I know right? I love this man! He's awesome. He has a little "gully" streak, but he still remains professional.
