District 9 (Sci Fi movie)

Actually, this is the best movie of the summer. It is a metaphor about apartheid (think District 6 in Cape Town) and humanity's inhumanity to others. It is also a cautionary tale about government supported bureaucracies (Haliburton, et cetera.)

Most people who seem to be disappointed in this movie wanted a Transformers like movie, or went in expecting an action flick, while this is a drama.








Also, Men In Black was a B movie, and absolutely nothing at all like District 9. They both have aliens, that's about it.

Not according to me or the critics. People are expecting this to be the best foreign film of the year.

This is the first message board that I've even seen more people saying that they don't like it, than saying that they loved it.

Ummmm yeah, B movies typically star the biggest box office draw in America.
