Many very determined alumni have worked very hard to bring Lambda Chi Alpha back to Franklin and Marshall College. Greeks have been doing great things there these past few years, and rechartering a fraternity there is going to really help continue to change things for the better. This was the Alpha Theta chapter and was active from 1917-1980!

Reason: sorry, force of habit after being engulfed in the sorority world for so long!

LXA started out as an eating club at F&M, so they reorganized the eating club. I'm not sure how many men are in it now, but the fraternities # are currently much smaller than the sororities, so it will not take a lot of men to make it competitive. I actually think they will get a lot of great men b/c it is a new option for men on this campus, something they need. I am really looking forward to the outcome!

Either 40 men or the campus average, whichever comes first.

So what your saying is that there currently is an interest group forming, or that they have already formed?

At the Atlantic Conclave this year, there was an alumnus representing F&M. They have restarted the original eating club (and meet with alums) on a regular basis. I'm not sure, but I think one of the challenges will be the University. "ilovetheviolets" seems to have good info. Will the university accept a new fraternity?
