See, when I said "who's next?" In the chihuahua thread, I was being rhetorical...

This is an incredibly sad day for all real Alpha men as well as the many fans, readers, friends, and other people who loved E. Lynn Harris.

He died young and "out of no where." Especially for celebs, that often leads to speculation whether it involves longterm illness that was not public knowledge, drugs, and diseases that people (even falsely) connect with lifestyle choices.

Sad but true. But now I think his works will be made into movies.

I am sad and heartbroken about E Lynn's passing. I have been reading his books since I was 15 (I'm almost 30) and his works never let me down. The few times I have seen and met him in person, he was very kind, funny and in love with his fans. The last time I saw him was almost a year ago during our national convention. I would have never thought that I would be seeing his obit yesterday.
Rest in peace, E. Lynn.

Lynn because his writing helped me to relate to one of the minor characters in "Invisible Life" and ultimately embrace a part of who I am: unashamed and unapologetic for loving "the kids" to death. I will support and embrace my gay friends at any time and dare someone to say something to me about it. I am so grateful to E. Lynn for sharing his stories with us and enlightening so many people including myself.
I also met him once and delighted in his beautiful personality and smile. I went to his booksigning at Outwrite Books in Midtown Atlanta, and he was gracious in meeting fan, signing books, and taking pics with every single one who asked.
RIP, E. Lynn

I know it's a public message board, but
Did y'all really add all this mess in a thread where E. Lynn's fans are expressing their sorrow and admiration for a beloved author that we lost just this past weekend? REALLY?

Well, I didn't create this thread solely for sorrow and admiration purposes. I made it to announce his passing and see if the news was accurate.
I wasn't a fan but respect the general notion of him and the fact that he had passed.
The rest is par for the course, including carnation's post that was real personal.

Yea, but look who started it. Some people try to have disagreements wherever they can.

You're right. The thread was flowing along nicely until Munchkin decided to have a hissy fit about a very general comment I made about not being quick to always discount TMZ. For the record I stated that I don't always discount TMZ. NOWHERE in my statement did I say that anyone should use TMZ as a primary news source.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand. To chime in on what someone else has said, I certainly hope there is no attempt at saying that Harris died of anything that is considered to be "related" to homosexuality. However, from what I have seen and heard thus far, no one has been speculating in that area. As I mentioned in my previous post, my understanding is that he had a heart attack and that his friends and family think that it was related to why he fainted a few days prior.
