I LOVED that one of the guys went to Wal-mart and bought an engagement ring for $21 and some change. At first I laughed, but then I felt bad. I hope that's not all life has in store for these children. I think it was awfully sweet though.

The kids on this show, while it's sad and whatever that they're 16 and pregnant, weren't exactly headed for college and/or a good career. So, it's a $21 engagement ring at 16, but it would probably have been a $99 engagement ring at 18. Or, if you rushed into the service at 18, it's a $99 promise ring then and a $400 engagement ring at 20.

The one with the red headed girl didn't seem without hope. She still wanted to dance and was doing some type of class/college. It looks like she's not going to stay with her jerk of a bf even though they said they were going to try. But I think it may be for the best because if she can get back home it seems like she would be a lot better off.
