I have On Demand with my digital cable and we saw this recap by the creator that was a nice refresher and also funny.

The commentary in our viewing group brings a lot of talk about the dynamic with Vampires and the conservative Christian group, in juxtaposition to equality and gay rights and the way some Christian groups have acted (especially Prop 8). we said that last season too but certain things in the episode tonight made it a discussion topic again.

This show cracks me up to no end.

I am still trying to figure out what the hell Maryann is.

Jessica the teenage vampire is a riot.

There is a campy/cheesy quality to it that makes me sometimes think "Why am I watching this?" but then, the storyline is compelling at the same time.

When Sookie was listening to MaryAnn, that was a different language she was thinking in, right? Then Sookie asks her where she's from because she doesn't recognize her accent. I don't like MaryAnn at all. I hope Tara gets out from under her.

When I think of Maryann I think of The Exorcist when they are in the Ancient World and the evil demon spirit speaks a different language. Maybe Maryann is some kind of succubus. Just last week I said to my friend "Why doesn't Sookie as Tara to move in with her, she has that big house and needs the company" and then she does!
