If in 5 years, there will be a lot of Serenas and Blairs, I will be SOOO happy.
I've realized that - after they named their baby Emma, the name EXPLODED! At least every other baby girl I've known of who was born since then's been named Emma.

There will probably be a shitload of Edwards and Bellas in 5-10 years, and probably quite a few Alices, Jaspers, Rosalies and Emmetts, too.

What films, books, tv shows, etc. are these names from?

All those other names are from Twilight, too.
Edward's "brothers and sisters"

Those are already here.

My son is 2, and his pre-school class, Sunday School class, and our neighborhood are all loaded with kids named Bella, Belle, and Isabella. We also have several friends who have named their kids some variation of this.

My husband and I stuck to very traditional names for our children that can not be limited to one era (I have such a 1970s name that it makes me want to hurl) and could never be considered trendy. The names will also look very nice on the top of a resume or on a med school application.

Farrah or Tennille?

I still don't think Emma is anything compared to the Jenny/Jennifer boom from Love Story. Anyone who went to college in the 80s (and had to refer to Jen M, Jen G etc) will know exactly what I'm talking about.

*raises hand*

Allllll through elementary school. It was still like that when I went to college in the 90s. In fact, the first friend I made the day I moved in was my next-door neighbor, Amy. We sat together at convocation, and when they were reading all the "fun facts" about our class, they got to the most popular male and female names. Guess what the two most popular female names were...
