Ginuwine's new one... "Last Chance".
http://www.imeem.com/geeplaya/music/...t-one-shot-my/
It might not be getting a lot of play just yet.... It's decent for a standard Ginuwine song, but the only part of the song that's killing me right now is the lyric
If I only got one shot (yeah) to win you/
Then call me Jordan 4th quarter in 92, yeah
Why are you comparing your efforts to love me...to the 4th quarter in '92? Every chick doesn't know what happened 17 years ago in '92 with Jordan. Don't use sports as an analogy for me. Ugh!

^^^LOL...so true! What a way to make a comeback Ginuwine...
But I absolutely HATE 'Birthday Sex' by Jeremiah.
I mentor kids ages 7-17 and one of the younger children (maybe 8 or 9) was singing the song. It totally disgusted me to hear him sing it and think it was ok!! I quickly had to tell him it was very inappropriate for a child his age, or any child for that matter, to be singing that song!!!

Birthday Sex? Stop it. I bet it's on a lot of radio stations, too.

Lionel Ritchie's God is Love remake by Smokey Norwood(?) and Heather Headley. the original should have been left alone or Smokey should have done it solo. the only gospel song where I turn the volume down.

And don't forget the part in the chorus after the Jordan reference about "Barack and his plan". WTF? I'm not crazy about that song either and wants the Ginuwine from the 90s back.
The first (and only time) I heard Birthday Sex I wasn't impressed. I don't listen to hip-hop stations that much anymore. Like Paper Planes though.
I can't stand Avant's remake of Sailing. Well, I don't like him that much and he totally messed up that 80s classic.

Me too!!!!!!! When I traveled with my family last weekend (5/23 & 24), the minivan my mom rented had satellite radio and every time this song came on, my sister HAD to blast it. I'm like, "If this heffa don't turn down this stupid azz song....." Then I think I started to like it because she played it and kept singing it. UGH!!!!!!!!!

I like this one. I think the video sold me on it, but I also like groove in the music. Not a huge fan of the lyrics. Actually, not a huge fan of Ciara either. She's just cool.
I'm also not listening to hip hop stations. I never thought I'd see the day that I'd turn off a hip hop station, but if I have to hear about "swag" or "swaggin'" one mo' time..... It offends me when the most popular station plays teeny bopper stuff, but then again, the teeny boppers are out for the summer, so they feel a need to cater to them.
BTW, is there anyone here who hates "Epiphany" by Chrisette Michelle? Just curious because I absolutely LOVE that song!

Those of us who know what happened in '92 with Jordan think it's a corny lyric.
I don't like that song because I have to turn the station when he says that.

Whoa that is horrible. I have never heard that because I turn the station after Jordan.
If this is my last chance to love you
I’m gonna play it like a grown man ought to
If I only got one shot to win you
Then call me Jordan 4th quarter in 92, yea
Im gonna do it
No matter what your girlfriend said
Im gonna do it
Believe me baby talking bout the kinda change
Im gonna do it
From a boy to a man
Like barack and his plan
Im gonna do it
If this is my last chance

Exactly. I remember MJ in '92 quite well because I loved looking at his poster on my wall. I loved watching him play. Maybe that part of the song is meant for us "lightly seasoned" people 30 and up to relate to some passion and seriousness of his effort, but it was a big flippity, floppity fail for moi.

"Whoa" indeed. I would stop listening after Jordan as well. I thought I heard "Barack" once, but I waived it off.
I need Steve Harvey to stop playing this in the AM. He might have jumped off Jamie Foxx's "I Don't Need It" (love it), but his show can't save this mess of a song.
