LOL. I like just about everything else. I just had to vent. I get tired of hearing the same stuff over and over again. I also wish I could come up with some of the crap that is on the radio and make some money.

I rarely listen to radio when I'm driving. When I do, it's r+b/soul music. Today, though, I decided to give one of the local hip hop stations another chance. I was welcomed with Soulja Boy - Kiss Me Thru The Phone.
So first, we're supposed to "superman that hoe" ... now we can kiss her through our phones. I guess our Soulja Boy is becoming a Soulja Man.
*sigh*

Thank you. The babies are singing this stuff. I had no idea it was so gross. I bought this book today at Uptown Sisters Bookstore "The Willie Lynch Letter and the Making of a Slave" for a mere $5. (I took the last two.) Anyway, it had me crying on the train. They intentionally and strategically worked to make the black woman promiscuous. I looked up at all those tight jeans and I lost it ya'll. Soulja Boy, naaahh, that's not what's up.

I remember reading excerpts from that speech. It's pretty damn sad.
I feel bad for kids coming up now. I'm not that old (24), but I still have memories of GOOD music. But somehow, the best these young'ins have is Chris Brown and Soulja Boy? Eh....

Good! I wish all parents were like that.
My kids will hear nothing from the 2000s until they're in their teens. I'll be playing nothing but 70s, 80s, and some 90s around the house so they'll be familiar with good music.

Well knight_shadow and brickhouse492, if you really want good music (and I will proudly plug this gentleman forever), check out the website in my siggy. Erro is definitely a great artist. Trust me, it's no Soulja Boy.

The jury's still out on whether to like or hate this song, per se; I need to hear it again. But I wanna know what anyone else who has heard this song thinks.

Okay, I heard the song again briefly last weekend in Circuit City while hanging out with a friend and I now know why I feel some type of way about this song: It uses a one bar bassline sample of an old school song that I LOOOOOOOOOOVE- I Need Your Lovin' by Teena Marie. At least it sounds like it to me. If anyone listens to this song, tell me if I'm right or just p-noid.

Lions, Tigers and Bears tells my story! And she and I share a first name (minus the 'z'.)!
