books I would recommend.....

Dewey by Vicki Myron. ISBN-0446407410

Dewey is about a lovable kitten that was put into a small town library drop box in the dead of winter. The library and the town adopted him.

In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner. ISBN-0786249420

Rose and Maggie Feller are sisters. Rose is the studious one with a good job and Maggie is the wild one with a string of dead end jobs. The book goes into their struggles of childhood tragedy and how it has effected them as adults.

(FYI- if you have seen the movie, the book is a bit different)

The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir. ISBN-9780345495365

A semi-fictional account of the life of Elizabeth growing up from the time of her mother's execution, Henry VIII not claiming her and her siblings reigns. The book ends when Elizabeth becomes queen.
