I have a love/hate thing with Alison Weir. I love her writing, love her topics, but start to seethe when she plays fast and lose with history!

Dewey sounds cute!

I feel ya with Alison Weir. I think the thing though is, with people who write fictional accounts of people from the 1500's that some "liberties" have to be taken because of the loss of information over the years. I read her books for pure entertainment. If I want historical, I'll go the non-fiction route. LOL.

Dewey was soooo good. It was an easy read. Same with Marley and Me.

I tend to read thrillers - David Baldacci is my absolute favorite. The last book I finished is The First Patient by Michael Palmer, ISBN: O-312-93775-X.

It's about a doctor whose college friend is now President. The President's personal doctor has disappeared and he begs his friend to take his place. Gabe does so with (well-founded) reservations, and discovers that there has been a macabre plot against the President and his allies. But who is evil enough yet close enough to the President to try to destroy him in such a high-tech and maniacal way? Gabe must find out before the President is destroyed.
