I'd say definitely go for it.

Most fraternities gladly accept anyone who is genuine and trying to join. Don't let the fact that you are an upperclassman affect your behavior, and most of the time they won't let it affect their behavior either.

My big question though. If you are going to a community college for financial reasons, then you should seriously look at the cost of Fraternities at the school you are looking to get into

I don't go to a big school, so my dues are only $300 a semester. I hear that at big schools, fraternities can cost upward of a few thousand a semester

It's definitely worth the price, but only if you can afford it
