Uh... talking about a potential wedding and/or during/before/after/around my wedding plans IS NOT THE TIME to remind me that my mom won't be there. You don't forget your mother passing ever. Thanks.

No kidding!

As if you don't EVER think about that and need a reminder.

Right. She didn't mean any harm by it but it's hard for some people to imagine getting married and having kids without their mom there. She was much older when her mom passed. She also doesn't realize that my mom and I were very close, so we'd already talked a lot about making relationships work before she passed. I'll probably take her up on the kids advice, though. All my mom ever said about that is that she and my dad made sure to have settled careers before kids so they could afford them.

She's ok, she just needs eveyone's attention on her all the time. We get along well but if live-in and I had a big wedding, she'd drive me bonkers during the planning. If I wasn't positive that she actually did like me a lot I would worry more about her doing the really crazy MIL things, like wearing white to the wedding and insisting that live-in sit with her instead of me during the reception.

ETA: Sorry for the hijack. My song is a few posts back. Drunken Destiny's Child. Bonus points for it being a song about a man who did you wrong.
