I'd say that the Steelers are one of the greatest sport franchises. I'm wracking my brain to name four others that would enjoys the fan, team, and front office loyalty that the Steelers have. I'm not saying that there isn't one, just that I don't know of one.
I know that the Steelers have fans that travel across the country to see their games. But I would say that (moving over to another sport) the Red Sox probably have one of the largest fan bases. I'm from the Boston area, so maybe I'm being a little biased, but honestly, their games are the best, the fans are completely loyal no matter what (they waited 86 years for a Series win!), and the players are some of the greatest guys. I've been to games at Fenway, and it is definitely an experience.. before, during, and after the games. I went to a Red Sox/Indians game in Cleveland a year ago, and the Indians were winning for most of the game. Their fans weren't even really that excited. When the Red Sox started coming back, you could pick out every one of their fans because they were on their feet for the rest of the game.

Side story: A neighbor, and good friend of my mom's, had ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and struggled with it for about 8 years. When she was younger, she had a baseball glove that she told everyone was signed by the Red Sox catcher at the time, Carlton Fisk (even though she forged his signature on it). When she got sick, she would talk about the glove all the time, and tell the story about how she made the whole thing up. Her husband asked Fisk if he could actually sign the glove for her, and he did. He met her at her house, and signed it.

When she died, my mom and I were at the funeral. At the service, we were sitting over on the side of the church, where the benches were kind of angled and facing more toward the center of the room. My mom looked to her left, and pointed out the guy standing at the back of the room.. it was Carlton Fisk.

So my vote for one of the top teams: the Red Sox
