I sooo knew you were gonna thank Mel!
Sheila, Dani, HC, T, you know I love you my Pittsburgh gals, and this has nothing to do with the fact that Ben and the boys beat Ashley and Jason and teh boys today....
But given the fact that I've been to many a Seahawks games in the summers I split between Foxboro and such...and it kinda helps that my bio sisters live in Bellevue....me gots to cheer on the other team.
It'll be a great freaking game in Detroit...that's for sure.

Seattle is one of my absolute favorite cities. Congrats to them for making it to their first Super Bowl. How long has Seattle had a team?
But the way the Steelers are playing, it'll be the Steelers' game to lose. Though they're actually favored in the Vegas odds, which is a bit different because they've been the underdogs most of the season.
In all honestly, I know nothing about the Seahawks so I can't give a good opinion. But I can't wait!

GO STEELERS GO.
I do have one question. I recall Seattle's uniforms being a much more attractive and a blue/green combo. Now they are...steel blue with chartreuse accents? When did this occur?
As far as us not being the "underdog" I think they have to look at it this way...everyone who is putting the Steelers ahead isn't doing it because they think we are good, they're doing it because they think we suck less than the Seahawks. I'm sure there are lots of people out there who think the Colts or Pats should be in this and we just were the recipient of lots of lucky breaks.

I don't know about that. The Pats were obviously flawed all year, and the Colts...well, they have Peyton Manning, who is putting together quite a history of playoff chokes.
Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has an excellent defense, a very good running game, good receivers, and a quarterback who doesn't make many mistakes. Plus, Jerome Bettis has become this year's "Never won a Super Bowl but hope he wins one this year" guy.
I know everyone likes to play the underdog angle, but really, neither of these teams should feel slighted.
For the record, I'm picking Pittsburgh.

I wonder if SmartBlondeGPhB is making preparations to head to Detroit.
I looked at the rosters and noticed that both teams have an IU quarterback on the roster! We all know Antwaan Randle El, of course, but I didn't realize Gibran Hamdan (who was ARE's backup and then started for IU in 2002) was on the Seahawks roster.

I've never known who said it, but I've always believed that "On any given Sunday..." any team in the NFL can beat any other team. It isn't always likely, but possible.
If the Steelers play like they have on the road, and particularly as they have the past couple of weekends, I think it will be a long day for Seattle on SuperBowl Sunday.
But, you never know.
On any Sunday...

GO SEAHAWKS
Well, I am originally from the Boston area so my favorite team has to be the Pats but since they are no longer a contender I have to say ...

Well, I was wrong on both teams, but hey. Although I like Seattle, I'm going with the Steelers.
