No. Her voice is fundamentally NOT good. You shouldn't have to move your head to control your vocal movements. Moving her head was the only way she could do the runs and even then she missed notes and sounded off in places.

Just. Not. Good. And. Thinks. Her. Body. Should. Buy. Her. Way. In.

And, I guess it just did.

I'm not musical, so it sounded good to me, honestly. Kara's was better though. I always hate it when the contestants try to tell the judges something. They're judges because they've already made it. You're a contestant because you haven't.

My husband said, "It sounded really good to me."

Haha. My boyfriend would've too if he watched it. I don't know anything about techniques, I just thought it sounded pretty decent to me. They didn't show many that were really amazing, so I guess there wasn't a lot to compare her to.

Umm, she is hot and has a mediocre voice... can she be American Idol? I believe there IS precedent

I know where this ditz lives. LOL! She's not as good as she thinks she is but I've heard via the grapevine of Chino Hills that she makes past the Hollywood round. I sincerely hope the rumors going on around here about her are wrong.

Why is Idol allowing people who have previously had record deals to be on the show? Last night, the first girl who got though to Hollywood (Joanna Pacitti) has had an album and has had two songs appear on soundtracks (Legally Blonde and Bratz).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Joanna Pacitti the girl who a number of years ago won the right (through a Macy's contest) to be Annie on Broadway and then as the show was in 'tryouts' out of town was replaced? I feel like her name sounds familiar. If this is the girl I'm thinking of, her family sued saying she had the right to be Annie since she won the contest. I believe they eventually settled. And if I'm also remembering correctly, the producers felt like she just didn't have enough charisma to carry the show the way they felt it should have been carried.

/end random hijack

You are correct. Barbara Walters even did a boo-hoo sob story in her defense saying she should have been Annie.

Really?!? That was her? Geez, I don't remember that story being so long ago.

My friend was in the clips last night, but he didn't make the cut! He was the one in the graduation cap!

Oh good God. Bikini needs to be punched in her damn head and I'll be the one to do it.

ETA: She is horrible. Nowhere near the level of Faith Hill to sing that song.
