And it's a sad day for you, especially since your post shows very limited knowledge on the subject of BGLO's today...and yesterday. Educate yourself before commenting please!

I saw my first probate last year and was deeply moved as well. There is something very intense and passionate about the whole thing. I wanted to cry myself when they finally but her letters on.

Cool

I, too, saw my first probate last year. I had always been interested and excited to see one. I think that it is a very positive representation of the unity, and closeness of a greek organization.

I think it represents something that every greek could relate too and that is having pride for something, you call your own.

The probate i witnessed was a statement to me that demonstrated the hard work, dedication, and committment, brothers and sisters, put in and continue to practice throughout a lifelong membership.

It's a proud moment for everyone.

I think this summarizes why I enjoy shooting "probate" shows and neophyte shows.

Can I also add that I'm jealous because I would like to see an Alpha chapter presentation in person?

Some of what was said is true, there is a lot of violence in the processes thats why you see pledgees on the news saying they were beat on because some have been. I've been greek for 20 years when it was legal to do it and nowadays some greeks get out of hand with the process.
Learn some manners and EDUCATE YOURSELF on the 'new' processes before you tell someone else they have limited knowledge on the subject.

I am educated thank you and have been greek for over 15 years; first undergrad, now grad. Everyone knows that there is some violence that SOME chapters engage in but the poster's comments do not tell the whole story, only criticizes with no depth of understanding. How dare you come at me! Stay in your lane please and concentrate on your org's problems!!!

that's a very moving thing. I wish I went to a school with BGLOs so I could see a probate. I have seen them do their own dances at social events and what not but not ap probate. I go to a small liberal arts school. I am a kappa delta, but have always been very intrigued and interested in BGLOs. Being in KD is a much different experience than what I see in Black Greeks orgs. Hopefully one day I will be able to witness what it truly means to be in a BGLO. I am just proud of anybody who is in a Greek org. It's an amazing time in someone's life, and regardless of what org. you are in, it's a beautiful thing.

Sorry if I went off tipic, but greek life is such a wonderful thing, and I wish everybody could experience it.

And how would you do that? I believe all NPHC orgs prohibit initiation of someone who was initiated into another council (NPC in your case.).....???
