If after they attend a RUSH or a Smoker and they say these things, then I have to wonder. But I think the first point is that folx would not answer their questions. (How many times have we told posters to don't ask on GC, ask the members at your school?)

Our policies forbid convos about MIP, but the prospects don't know that. So they do their "research" by going to MBs and reading books. And unless I am mistaken the books do not say don't wear the colors of the org in which you are interested. In fact none of DST's tools say that. And very honestly my first inclination would be to show my interest by wearing the colors (in fact I did.)

ETA: I already fear for the future of our orgs based on some folx in them now.

I've often thought this same thing. Sometimes, the line between asking an appropriate question and expecting AND getting an informative is so thin and hazy.

Yes there is no policy stating do's and don's. Which is why I think Having BGLO Forums should be held each semester on college campuses. These questions where very eye opening at the very little people know. While research is key, I believe these forums really can help for ALL of the questions that could fit into 2 hours were answered. These were only a small, small portion but out of the approx. 300 students, most of them left greatly informed and on the right track.
