You raise some good points. As a member of a BGLO, I do not fault non-members for not knowing for example, the Greek Alphabet on command. Yea, you are right. But i dont think it is safe to assume that people who are interested in a BGLO, or people who visit/post in BGLO forums are actually trying to PURSUE an organization. Some people are just curious and want to know what all the hooplah is about. Now if you are ACTIVELY PURSUING membership into an organization and have been steered in the right direction, then there should be no excuses. Yea some of the things posted were kinda ignorant, but honestly, it is understandable for some college students (freshman, tranfers from other schools who havent heard of any greek org) to wonder why wearing a certain org's colors is a big deal. It's one thing for an org to peak your interest, but i think its a whole 'nother story when you begin pursuing. Like i said, i might just be interested outta curiousity, but not that interested where im begging for admittance.

Yes however, when I mentioned there was a short survey earlier, One of the questions also asked if the participants were interested in becoming a member of a BGLO. In contrast, the question of Had their mind been set on one particular organization was also a part of the survey. Excuse me for not saying that earlier. I believe whether peaking of pursuing, at least SOME information should be researched to keep oneself from uttering statements such as the ones from these participants.
