Below is an article about Bro. Pierre Banks,the former Basileus of my undergrad chapter. He is a real student-athlete,a term almost considered an oxymoron. He is a star linebacker for the 3-time defending champion NCAA Division 1A Appalachian State Mountaineers, who finished his undergraduate degree in 3.5 years whie playing football (!) and maintains a 3.9 GPA in graduate school. The Durham, NC native is one of 17 children of proud parents who stressed education.
