One other thing to keep in mind is that the NPCs tend to have far more complicated selection processes than the one you just described. I know our Recruitment Manual is something like 150-200 pages long. This is likely to do with the prevalence of NPC chapters at schools with HUGE recruitments...let's face it, if it was as simple as sitting in the living room and a 1-5 ranking there is no way that our chapters could get through 900-1,000+ women in the large recruitments.

Let's keep the local bashing and NPC superiority out of it, please.
I don't think Entchen's openness has anything to do w/ her being in a local - it has to do with her campus culture. The NPC groups on her campus are apparently also rather free with their MS information.

Uhhhh? I was clarifying that she was free to talk about membership selection because she was in a local. We aren't. Don't put words/intentions in my mouth because my post in no way inferred that.

Assuming she is free to talk about it because she's in a local IS local bashing. You have no idea what her local's rules are, or the rules of any of the other hundreds of locals across the country. Some of them are WAY more secretive than any NIC or NPC group.

How so? It's a known fact that NPC and NPHC sororities don't disclose their membership selection processes. I believe the same is true of all national GLOs. So, by process of elimination, she must be in a local. If her local wants to disclose their MS process, so be it.

It's local bashing to automatically assume ALL locals discuss their MS practices, and to imply that it's wrong to do so.
And as I said - she made it CLEAR that the NPCs on her campus talk about it too. It's not a local/national issue. It's a campus culture issue. I'm sure that some of the people who are at her discussing this have sisters on her campus that are doing the same thing.

Honestly, no one seems to be "bashing" in this thread. She stated in a previous thread that she was in a local. Then, she came to this thread and revealed her MS practices. There was no "assumption" by the other posters -- obviously, her local allows her to reveal MS practices. It looked like they were just clarifying that they couldn't talk about MS because of NPC membership.

Fixed that.
Anytime someone from a local comes on here and says something that doesn't jibe w/ national practices, everyone assumes that all locals are the same. They are not. Lumping them all together is the same as assuming all chapters of a national haze because one of them gets busted for it.
