We do know basic information about it, the only thing that's a mystery is what I'm asking about now.

Stop defending yourself by replying to every single post. You've received the information you requested. Now it's time to go work on the ppt or what have you because it's obvious you've got a lot to learn about GL.

I am however a bit "concerned" that you lack a basic understanding of what may (or may not) be the pledging protocol for the organization you are seeking to join. If you don't know what pledging "inline"/"online" means and aren't sure that the org you are seeking does so, how are you even a member of the interest group?

Okay, don't tell me what to do first of all.

And second of all, maybe because we're not supposed to know about that yet?

The last thing you want to do is annoy the GLO you're trying to join by displaying a lot of knowledge that is supposed to be kept private.

It won't impress them: it will display your blatant disrespect for privacy and ritual. I don't know about you guys... but that's not someone I'd want to call a sister.
When did I ever mention that the information I'm seeking neccessarily pertains to MY organization?

Boy, a lot of you here are a bit presumptious and snobby. =/

You said you were presenting it to your interest group. Why would you bother getting information that has nothing to do with the organization you're trying to pursue?

Because the presentation is about DIFFERENT ASPECTS OF GREEK LIFE...did I not mention that already? -_-

Anyway this is turning into a catfight instead of a decent thread so I'm out, bye.

I understand that it's about Greek life in general, but that's a very specific part of some organizations. If the organization doesn't have onlines (which they shouldn't anyway, but that's another topic...), why even bother bringing it up?

Why would you care about knowing if it didn't pertain to your organization?

If you want to know everything ever (or not even everything ever but key ideas that are usually kept private) about someone's pledging process, and it's not your organization, that strikes me as a bit nosy. I mean, you're always going to pick things up by hanging out with and talking to other Greeks, and by reading forums, but it's not like I'm going out there saying:

"HAY! SENUSRET I, WHAT DID YOU DO FOR PLEDGING!?!??! WERE YOU ON LINE OR IN LINE????? DID THEY MAKE YOU ROLLERSKATE??????????"

ETA: INTARWEBS FLOUNCE! I hope it doesn't turn into a faux flounce! Actually - they all turn into faux flounces. Maybe I prefer those better?

What you're asking is definitely something that could have been researched ahead of time. If this is a national sorority you are looking into, that's not going to be too hard to figure out. Either way, you should be directing any and all questions about greek life to the expansion team of the organization you are trying to join.
