Agreed. I also think it's unreasonable to be upset that they didn't send a blast email to their customers. It's not like it was a big secret that Houston got hit with a major disaster. Nor is it normal for people who have just been hit with a major, nationally publicized disaster to assume that they
need to tell people out of the area that their operations have been affected. The first unanswered phone call would have been enough of a clue for most people.
LaRues_Lady, I know you are stressed about getting the stuff for your big/little event. But I think your sisters will understand that Ike happened, and that the company was unable to comply with the timing. I understand it's personal for you because you are the one on the hook for getting the items, but I really think your sisters are going to be ok with it. I also think they will be more ok with it if you present it as an unavoidable situation brought on by a natural disaster, rather than trying to make the store look bad because they were more concerned with Ike than with your order.
