Which standards are people going by when it comes to Shreveport? I mean if someone is comparing it to cities like Las Vegas, Atlantic City, San Francisco, or whatever they are going to be very very disappointed. My point was that for a small city located in Louisiana, and that I had a lot of trouble find info on the internet, the nightlife was a lot better than I expected. No where that you would want to live permanently, but if you swing there for a night or two when you're traveling, you could find something to do there. Also, it's way better than St. Louis', which have a higher population, and is a little higher rated. Most of the bars close around 1am, strip clubs are illegal, they just started allowing casinos to be built on land.

Nightlife aside though, I do agree that it is the most nasty AND scary place I ever been too. It makes the worst areas of St. Louis, Chicago, and KC look tame. I don't know jack shit about sports, so I can't comment on that.

. . . so it's underrated because it has strip clubs, casinos, and bars that are open past 1am?

You realize where most cities put the strip clubs and casinos, right? HINT: Not the "good nightlife" or "fun" or "underrated" or "nice" parts of town. You'll find few people that appreciate casinos and strip clubs like I do, but even I can't see where you're coming from at all.
