i transferred as a junior. i go to a big school. i cob'd. i got a bid. it was worth it.

It really depends on your school. There are some schools where juniors have the same chances as freshmen while there are others where it's unheard of for a junior to get a bid. There is certainly no harm in trying since you're a junior. Even if you didn't get a bid, at least you wouldn't wonder "what if."
