One of the things that stuck out last year -- a sophomore PNM went through rush and admitted that she knew why she was cut from all the houses. I mean, these reasons are usually private, but she knew that it was because she was on campus for a year. See, being on campus for a year can give the PNM the opportunity to meet more sorority women, but the opposite rings true as well -- it could negatively shape what the sorority women think of you.
The OP, I wouldn't base your opinions on your rush experience of last year.
