Just a quick update from the front lines:
Things are going well!! We are currently working on getting information out to interested women and we will be kick starting our recruitment process on Sept. 8-10. Bid Day is on September 12, and Arc Degree will be held on Sept. 14th.
This campus is fabulous, and so are the women! We are very lucky and really looking forward to having a strong and successful colonization (with installation in January!).

I think a lot of it must do with the phenomenal recruiters we have in the women on the ground...i.e. the LC's and other Sigma reps. Good luck to you all! I can't wait to hear how it all ends up!!

Bid day is today for the colony. I do know that there were over 250 women participating, but I don't know how many bids will be extended today.

I was at the game on Saturday at Mizzou, looking for some new Sigma Sisters, ran into the sisters from Stephen's college and they were so excited to be new members.
Keep wearing that purple.

yay!
140 girls?! That's outstanding! I'm not familiar with that campus but is 140 the typical chapter amount? I remember how amazing it was to colonize with 35 girls, I can only imagine the excitement of 140! Snaps to everyone involved with making this such a success! I can't wait to read and see pictures in an upcoming Triangle!
SigmaShelly, isn't it just the best running into sisters from different chapters, and especially new members? (Although I do think that some of us alumna still retain that NM glow all these years later -wink)

Total on that campus is 170, but average campus size is 225. We are hoping to get the colony at a competitive level by the end of the year, with a potential installation in January.
It IS exciting! The colony is fabulous and I can't wait to see how everyone does in the future!
