You aren't allowed to say that, because everybody knows that's just a rationalization because you couldn't get in anywhere else.

Oh yeah....I forgot! Actually, that wasn't the case for me either...I went to NLU because it was away from home. I had a scholarship to LSU, but I would have had to live at home! Ugh! My mom absolutely refused to let me apply out of state. I guess my problem was that I wasn't rich enough!

Surprise, surprise. The most "prestigious" schools tend to be older, and the older schools tend to have more chapters of the oldest sororities.

I went to a school in the top 50, but I'm not a pretentious bitch.

Of course, you're not, but like the people at state schools who "couldn't get in anywhere else", all students at Top 50 schools are "pretentious bitches!" Everything about this thread is a stereotype.

I went to a school in the top 50 also. My post was a joke directed at a certain poster who is totally obsessed with rankings.

I am an analytical person and enjoy data gathering myself, as is apparent by my history/recruitment thread. I wasn't knocking oldu, because I suspect his/her motive was in the vein of "hey, this is interesting." But, there are certainly folks who read that post and pat themselves on the back - people who just can't get over themselves.
