Ok, this is a twist on the topic-let's say you wrote a PNM a rec and after a while found out some not great things about her? Nothing horrible, like murder or anything, but just things that would make you think-you know what, I'm not sure I'd like you as a sister after all. Would you contact the chapter and let them know? Or just leave it?
This is not happening to me, but I was thinking about it the other night and was just curious.

Depends a lot on what sort of information we're talking about. I'd suggest you contact one of the advisors and let them make the call.

It's happened. And I did contact the chapter and withdrew my sponsorship.

I'd defintely let the Membership Recruitment Director of that chapter know that I have withdrawn my recommendation (and why).

I was unhappy that I didn't get to no-rec a former student who went to Ole Miss . . . am still dying to know if she pledged or not. I certainly would not wish this delightful girl on ANY of the fine chapters at Ole Miss. If I knew then what I knew now, it would not have been a question.
