Shit's fucked up, I won't lie.

Bernie Mac's dying was sad, but Shaft? Worst weekend to be black EVER.

FWIW, Bernie Mac didn't die from his sarcoidosis, which had been in remission, but from pneumonia.

Not meaning to look beyond his many other achievements, Shaft is one of those iconic songs -- not only as a hit on the charts, but also as the theme of the movie.

His is a great loss.
