I loved it-but I have never seen it in live. Pierce Brosnan doesn't exactly have the best of voices, but I didn't really think it took away from the movie. In a way, I thought it added to it. I agree that Meryl Streep seemed to warm up. I was weary after the jeep scene, but it did get much better.

The reviewer from Colorado Public Radio agrees with you. He liked the film much to my amazement.

I've seen the live show a couple of times, including New York. A high school classmate of our daughters is playing Sky on Broadway right now.

Guess I'll have to see the movie.

I saw it today (yesterday now, I guess) and really liked it! It's just a fun movie. My jaw actually ached by the end because I was smiling and laughing so much. Pierce Brosnan didn't have the best voice, true, but it seemed to make him more human, actually. He's right up there with Patrick Dempsey for sexy male actors. At one point, I leaned over to my friend and said "If she doesn't want him, I'll gladly take him!" and she laughed and said she was just thinking the exact same thing.

Anyway, very fun movie.. made me want to get up and dance...

I thought the acting (by everyone) was great, but the plot is a little weird (like how Sophie tries to keep it a secret from Donna and Sky that she invited her fathers and how Donna tries to keep it a secret that she doesn't know who Sophie's father is; also the twist at the end---I hadn't seen it on stage, so I was definitely not expecting it).

Meryl Streep will be a serious contender for another Oscar.

Yes, Pierce Brosnan is not much of a singer, but it doesn't really detract.

Amanda Seyfried---WOW! Great voice. Loved Gimme Gimme Gimme and Lay All Your Love On Me with Dominic Cooper (gorgeous, btw).

I was surprised at how well the songs work with the story. Usually it's the other way around---the songs are written for the plot.

Overall, a very fun movie.
