The dollar theater is more popular than the regular theaters around here.

I love the dollar theater because most movies aren't MUST SEES to me. The dollar theater is about 1.50 per ticket and it basically looks and operates like the other theaters.

When a really good horror or comic book-themed movie (or Sex In the City) comes out that I must see when it comes out, I'll spend the extra bucks. Other than that, dollar me up!

I don't mind the $1.00 movie for matinees, but by the evening, they're usually pretty nasty. I try to avoid any place where my shoes stick to the floor!

That said, it also depends on the movie. Some movies are just no suitable for the TV screen, so if it means the dollar show, bring it on!

There's a dollar movie in my area that's awesome! It is extremely clean, has good food - a little cheaper than usual - and is generally packed. Really, it is kept up better than the mainstream expensive theatres around. It 's a great place to catch a movie that you missed the first time around.
