I'm not looking forward to Wipeout, but for some reason I am looking forward to the "I Survived a Japanese Game Show". I don't know if you've ever watched a Japanese game show (we get them on the Japanese channel here as 'Challengers of Fire') but those things are hilarious and wayyyy funnier than MXE.

The contestants are wearing life jackets on Wipeout. There's no fun there.

I really hate it when people think it's a good idea to American-ize things Japanese.

Amen! I don't like some of the English dubs in anime. I also hate it when they cut out the parts to make it Mickey Mouse-ish. Anyway, I won't care to watch Wipeout or Hole in the Wall (on Fox) for that matter. They have to put those annoying subtitles on Wipeout. I can understand what they are saying, thank you. The only time I like subtitles is when I watch something foreign.

BTW, there are two shows on G4 called Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke. I love those shows! The Japanese commentators are hilarious.

I've always liked the tasting segments from Iron Chef. The dubbed descriptions of the food are always a little dreamy, like, "Mmmmm...this soup is so good. It's very comforting, like a warm blanket. It reminds me of the soup my grandmother made when I was eight years old, but it's even lighter, prettier and more delicate." And everything is always "Really nice." Either the Japanese speak in poems and sonnets, or we're being LIED TO!

I really like Ninja Warrior and I've been getting into Unbeatable Banzuke lately.
