Wipeout on ABC
 

it starts on june 24th. this is going to be the best show ever! this may be the american version of the most extreme elimination challenge. then following this show on the same day is the "i survived a japanese game show."

They both look like rip offs of MXC. They can't duplicate it though!

I hope they have really ridiculously lame voice over just like the Japanese versions. I'm having a blast just watching the ads featuring the people bouncing off the big red balls.

I'm not looking forward to Wipeout, but for some reason I am looking forward to the "I Survived a Japanese Game Show". I don't know if you've ever watched a Japanese game show (we get them on the Japanese channel here as 'Challengers of Fire') but those things are hilarious and wayyyy funnier than MXE.

The contestants are wearing life jackets on Wipeout. There's no fun there.

I really hate it when people think it's a good idea to American-ize things Japanese.

I've always liked the tasting segments from Iron Chef. The dubbed descriptions of the food are always a little dreamy, like, "Mmmmm...this soup is so good. It's very comforting, like a warm blanket. It reminds me of the soup my grandmother made when I was eight years old, but it's even lighter, prettier and more delicate." And everything is always "Really nice." Either the Japanese speak in poems and sonnets, or we're being LIED TO! :)

I really like Ninja Warrior and I've been getting into Unbeatable Banzuke lately.

Oh my gosh, it looks like those folks are going to get hurt on this show. I can't wait to see it!:)

i don't know what to say, lol. wipeout and i survived a japanese game show had me laughing. i didnt expect the second show to be an elimination type contest.

its a good show...i miss reruns of MXC though, nothing can top them

It's so funny! I wish more women would make it to the finals though
