Okay. And what happens with the lavalier if it doesn't work out? Does she give it back or can she still wear it?

Who knows do you?

I never gave one nor did I pin a girl!

I was not about to give up something that I worked so hard to get!

No, I don't. I was trying to minimize the formality of it. You're the one who jumped in saying it was given to a girl you were dating as in pre-engagement for marriage. Anything given in contemplation of marriage should be returned if they break up.

Unless anyone else has other ideas I still think a lavalier in this case can be given without any pomp or circumstance, since they're not even dating. She'll give you a hug and a kiss, and you can be on your way.

Only an official badge offers the protection of the Fraternity, although I'm unclear on what that actually means in practice. Sounds good, though, doesn't it?

It means that we cannot leer at her and give her the official Fraternity whistle.

Yes, boys and girls, we REALLY had one of those. And an official hat band, two.

From watching all the rush videos the notes were undoubtedly the same as the first bar of Magic Carpet Ride.
